For those of you who have never entered a pageant before, maybe you want to do one in the future, or you're just curious about how the entire process works, I figured I would take you through all the steps.

Although I could enter the Miss Texas USA pageant straight away under a title, I found out there was a local city Miss San Antonio USA pageant, where the winner of that pageant got their entry fee paid for as well as other help for the state title. To me this sounded like a great way to get some practice but also if I became the titleholder, it meant I wasn’t completely on my own for the state pageant.

Even if I didn’t participate in the local pageant or if all else failed, I could still participate in the state pageant although by the time I officially entered the fee would have raised significantly. So in my mind failure is not an option.
